Ring-billed Gull

Certainly not a rare bird species but what else do you want when you are sitting in a parking lot!  The Ring-billed gull is Florida’s most common gull and is found nearly everywhere but especially around water, landfills and shopping centers.  This image was taken in the parking lot by the A. Max Brewer Bridge that spans the Indian River in Titusville, FL.  The bridge leads to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge which is one of my favorite places for photography.  Great sunrises, sunsets and one of the best avian (bird) photography spots you can find.
